We just got word of this cause from our friends at Environment California:
JOIN THE STYRO STIKE!
They’re working to ban Styrofoam containers and stop them from ending up on our beaches and floating in the ocean.
The campaign is heating up, thanks to the 11,000 e-mails that have been sent to Governor Schwarzenegger.
The next step in their game plan is to stop going to specific chain restaurants that use polystyrene cups and cartons. The first on their list is Jamba Juice.
Most of us here at Buy-Rash-Guards really like Jamba Juice. But as a large chain with hundreds of locations, they could make a huge impact by switching to biodegradable cups.
So we’re not going to Jamba Juice. We’re going to tell them that we’re on Styro-Strike.
Many of us already avoid Styrofoam containers when we eat out. Other folks live in cities where we’ve already banned the stuff. So let’s band together and, starting with Jamba Juice, let Styro-trash makers know we mean business.
Our beaches deserve better. But how can we convince Jamba Juice and other restaurants to make the switch?
Speak to them in a language they understand — money.
